Welcome,
We hope that your stay in Villa Baldasseroni will meet all your expectations
for a holiday in Tuscany. For more than 300 years the Villa has belonged
to the Baldasseroni family, and was the sunmmer residence of Giovanni
Baldasseroni, the last prime minister of Tuscany before Italy became
independent from Austria in 1861.
The Villa is still our family home, where we were married nearly forty
years ago in the family chapel. It has been modernized, but is still
furnished and decorated in the style of an 18th-century Tuscan villa.
In recent years it has been our pleasure to share our villa and love
of Tuscany with a select number of guests.
We live here in a separate apartment. We’ll be here to welcome you
when you arrive, and on hand to help you in any way we can. We can
give you the insider’s guide to Tuscany, including personally arranging
trips to local wineries, and places off the beaten track from Florence
to Siena, Pisa to Lucca, or to Michelangelo’s marble quarries behind
the Versilian coast towns of Massa and Forte dei Marmi.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing some Tuscan hospitality
together whether it be a drink and conversation in the garden or a
meal in one of our excellent local restaurants! Click
to email us now.
With warmest best wishes,
Alessandra Baldasseroni and Michael Griffiths
